An iron gate with a chain and lock

Love to faults is always blind, always is to joy inclined. Lawless, winged, and unconfined, and breaks all chains from every mind.” – William Shakespeare

Back this summer I participated in a world wide photowalk hosted by Google Plus.  Ours was held in Scottsdale Arizona.

This was a fun get together to meet and shoot with a lot of local photographers.  I love to network with my fellow togs and talk a little shop.  Getting their perspective on ideas is always rewarding.  And getting a chance to put a face to a name that you have seen online for the past year really helps to complete that social media puzzle.

Finding these kinds of details complements my wedding photography skills.  In capturing the bride and grooms day it is always nice to get detail shots of the venue to help tell their story.  This gate with the lock and chain probably goes unnoticed every day by the locals.  These same kind of details can be missed at a wedding if one is not looking for them.  Yet they are there and are a part of the story.

Until next time…

Stopping and seeing what is really there one realizes there is quite a bit going on in this photo.
