Found On Road Dead

Growing up in the mid-west one was generally of two camps when it came to trucks. Your choices were Chevy or Ford. There were a few outcasts who would claim Dodge but they knew their place. 🙂
My family was in the Chevy camp. So that meant Chevys were better than Fords. We used to joke that Ford stood for Found On Road Dead or Freaking Old Rebuilt Dodge. Of course the Ford people would counter with First On Race Day. Ahh good times back then.
I always enjoy coming across old vehicles like this. It makes me wonder who the people were that owned and operated it and what kind of life they had. I’m guessing this one was used quite routinely on the farm.

These old trucks are still dynamos – virtually indestructable (except for rust of course)! Love the pic and the trucks!
You should totally snag that and restore it. They just don’t make vehicles as sexy as they once did. The curves and lines on this make me drool. I want it!

Old trucks are just classic. You don’t get that look today. You’ve brought out all the beautiful details in this…well done.
I like the low POV on this one. It help makes the truck look even more rugged than it is, if that is possible. Great subject and great shot!
You left out Fix Or Repair Daily. I lived through the ups and downs of both Ford and GM. GM is still on the downs . . Oh well, I drive Hondas now. Great find.
Classic and still looks good despite the layer of rust. They just don’t look the same these days – no soul at all.
