Storm chasing this year was a lot of fun for me. Not only did I get to see some awesome spectacles of nature, I met some new photog friends (Scott Wood & Bryan Snider) as well.
Granted it is not a cheap thing to do, driving upwards of 100 miles or more in any given night and not knowing for sure you will come home with anything. There were a few of those empty nights which really hurt. But when you witness and can capture something like the image above, it is all worth it.
One thing about chasing storms is you are always in awe of Mother Nature. Rather it be the sheer electrical light show of lightning, or a menacing haboob (dust storm), or a rain storm marching across the desert you have to give her credit. Nobody does it better.
Until next time…
